Tinashe Nenzou

Tinashe completed his articles with DUKE & COMPANY and became an associate at the firm in December 2024. His practice is built on a distinguished international legal career that began with his LLB from Nelson Mandela University, South Africa.

Before relocating to Canada, Tinashe practiced as an Attorney in South Africa, where he secured multiple personal injury settlements totaling more than CAD 1.4 million (20 million Rand) and played a key role in successfully opposing a CAD 1.89 billion (27 billion Rand) class action claim brought against the Government Pension Fund. After relocating to Canada, he broadened his expertise in regulatory compliance, risk management, and financial-sector governance through his work with Canadian Western Bank.

During his articles, Tinashe has consistently represented clients at the Alberta Court of Justice and the Alberta Court of King’s Bench. Tinashe has represented clients in both Edmonton and smaller communities such as St. Paul, Lac la Biche, Cold Lake and Wetaskiwin.

Strategic, diligent, and client-focused, Tinashe is recognized for his strong advocacy, thorough research abilities, and unwavering commitment to achieving favorable results. Outside of his legal practice, Tinashe enjoys spending quality time with his family, his wife and their three daughters. He is an avid sports enthusiast who enjoys both watching and playing soccer, basketball, and football, and is now developing a growing interest in hockey.

Education:  LL.B (Bachelor of Laws), Nelson Mandela University, South Africa (2012)
